To be honest it was a rather comical experience going to the vet with the kids and the pets. I put Lola in her pet carrier and slung it over the handle of Ben's stroller. Gracie walked, snorted, and hyperventalated the whole way thru Pet Smart to the vet clinic in the back. We were quite a sight. I just love it when perfect strangers come up and say, "Wow! You have got your handsfull!" You think? I really hope when the kids are grown I remember not to say that to perfect strangers as they struggle to do ordinary tasks with their children in tow. The best part is Ben laughed through the whole thing! The idea of the cat AND the dog trotting along was just hysterical to him. You may say the most hysterical part of it was that we came out with more pets than we went in with. Yes, you read that correctly...don't worry, Jake just bought a few more Molly's (those little black and white fish) for their tank.
Lola sporting her new rabies tag....I think she feels as though she got new jewlry!
This is about how I felt when they told me I have to bring Gracie AND Lola back in three weeks for a distemper shot.
It's OK, they're worth it. There is nothing better than coming home to someone who loves you...regardless if you won't give them money, extend their bedtime, or make them put out the trash!
