The “Little Zoo.”

IMG_0224

A few weeks back we went to the “little zoo’” one day after Natalie’s soccer game.  The kids call our local zoo the little zoo because it’s quite small, but that's part of its charm!  It’s a nice quick, relaxing trip.  Especially on a gorgeous spring day.

They had all sorts of booths that day and the boys loved it!

They painted animals on rocks.

While Ben stayed mesmerized with this gigantic bird!

Then the petting zoo!

Of course there was ice cream but I think we did this after about a half hour of hand washing to make sure dad wasn’t grossed out and worried about bacteria from the animals.  =)

Then a story and a butterfly release!

Natalie was enthralled!  And the zookeeper brought her up front for a closer look!

And then a romp through the rose garden!  What a great day we had together.
