A blog post I read this morning by Matthew McNutt

So this morning I got a wall post on Facebook from Jake’s youth pastor, Matthew McNutt saying, “I may have just blogged about you and Jake.”  I instantly read the post and burst out laughing!!!!

Difference between parents and teens

So, last week I had to cancel small groups because of snow, ice, freezing weather, etc.  I hate making that call!  But I got a kick out of two responses to my mass text message blast – they came within seconds of each other, both unaware of the other.  The first is the mom, the second is her eighth grade son (his school hadn’t been cancelled that day, only delayed):

Good call! Jake will be bummed but better safe than sorry! I can’t imagine the worry I’d have if he was driving there!!! ;)

What?!?!? We can have school but no small groups???

I have to admit, it made me laugh!

Well, like I said it made laugh too!  Like, I have said many times before I am so thankful for youth group.  Thanks for making me laugh Matthew and all you do to keep kids wanting to be there anytime the door is open for youth group!

Jay just turned 16. He'll be driving soon. I'm not that scared. With Meagan driving for a year and no accidents, she has eased my mind. True, she isn't a 16 year old BOY, but still.
