THIS IS POST NUMBER ONE HUNDRED!
Wow! ONE HUNDRED POSTS... all since FEBRUARY?
It is hard to believe that I have posted this much already. I started blogging for one reason, to stay connected with others. Yet, now I post for many reasons.
One it keeps me focused on all the joy that can be found in each day. Sometimes I worry that the colorful photos of smiling children will lead a story of delusion. Not each moment of our day is lived like this. In fact they are just the crown jewel moments of a day. Some days with children here at home are downright tiring, cumbersome, and LONG! No matter what kind of day we had there are always some moments of joy that can be found along the way.
These are the things that blogging keeps me from forgetting. These are the moments that I want to remember and the collection of memories that I want to keep alive for each of our children. One of my favorite blogs says it best, "this is a blog, and this is not real life we don't sit around smiling all day long." And another of my favorites (or shall I say blogs that I stalk) says it best with a quote from George Duhamel, "Do not trust your memory, it is a net full of holes; the most beautiful prizes slip through it."
So like my tag line says...Each day here is a gift. Each day is more special no matter what occurs when I stop and choose to see life this way. In fact one professor in college remarked, "My how our entire view point changes when we look at everything as a gift." How true this is. Yet, at times it can be hard to keep your focus this way when life gets hard.
Yes, life with you children, "my fabulous four" can be hard, but each day here at home brings me new joy...new prizes that I never want to slip through my memory. Each post is a gift... a memory that is saved, and a reminder to me of how much we have to be thankful for.

OK, not fair...you made me cry, thanks for reminding me of why I really enjoy doing what I do!! I am just so grateful I was a part of something so special!
As I hope you know, I love working with Natalie...such a happy girl, so smart & YES she will be a "little lightening". I can hear it now, all of her fans cheering her down the lane...GO Natalie!
Loved your 100th blog post, taking time to reflect & appreciate life is pretty special!
Life is a gift & everyday is a thank you note - enjoy your day!

Joy, you are a beautiful person inside and out. I enjoyed my visit and hope many will follow. I certainly "observed your environment" and understand what a busy life you lead and I didn't even see you at Church, with your MOPS group, or at a swim meet. Now I understand when you don't answer your phone!
I saw that quote on your chaulk bourd and thought how true that is. As I'm in NH now everywhere I look is a little memory but I have forgotten so much about my childhood it is sad. What you are doing with your blog is wonderful for you now and a future gift for your children.
