Some More Football

IMG_0618 Jake had an awesome season his team was undefeated!  Jake started this year and really came into his own as a player.  But I think the best part of the season was the coaching staff.  Truly, we were blessed to have some real stand up guys coaching his team.  Never did I hear them yell or loose their cool.  I don’t think it was because the team was winning…I think the team was winning because of this.  This made it all the more fun.

Here is a shot of Jake talking with Coach Lober.  Mr. Lober goes to our church and has even helped in child care in Ben’s class.  =)

I think Jake really enjoyed the fabulicous treats after each game.

Then we have Andrews team they almost had a season of complete defeat but managed to win one game towards the close of the season.  Andrew started as well this year, but football has always come natural to him.

He has the football heart.  IMG_0564

He is the guy that goes after the ball (bending in the center).  I must admit several seasons of football I still don’t quite understand the game.IMG_0587

I also don’t understand how they leave any mud for the field….I thought we were bringing it all home in our minivan.

This would be the Cronauer cheering section.  Perhaps another reason I don’t quite get the full details of any game.

Ben walking the line… there are days I think he is going to run right out there after the ball.  The coaches all say they want him in a few years.  I have a feeling he’ll be the football sort of guy.

Ah, YUM!  It amazes me how I have any wet wipes left after a game.

Tomorrow morning is football equipment return.  Sad to see another season go.  To my girlfriends who are rereading that statement.  Yes, I am sad.  I hated the commitment of giving up each weekend but there were some really beautiful fall days that we soaked in with the kids out on the field.  Plus the close of the season marks the beginning of other sports.  Like wrestling.  Ugh, more on that later…..Definitely not my favorite sport to watch!

But any sport that keeps active boys active is a blessing.  Before you know it this little guy will be on some field somewhere chasing a ball.  Be it soccer, lacrosse, football, whatever…I have a sneaking suspicion he’ll be there!
