Jake wanted an ipod this year as his big gift. Natalie and I found him a special little box to place the little package into. When you opened the lid it started playing some cute little tune. Notice that I keep using the word "little?" It pains me to have spent such a LARGE amount of money on one LITTLE item. Gone are the days when you can get a few tonka trucks, action figures, and other boy toys and wrap them just so...while you wait on baited breath to see what silly reaction they give you. He took the rest of his Birthday money and placed it onto i tunes cards. The challenge has been finding music that we both agree that he can pump into his mind at top volume. =) ...I think that statement just proves that I'm getting older!
While Jake was at school we got a few things ready to help celebrate that night. As the boys have gotten older and their parties become more "challenging" we have opted to celebrate their birthdays with friends every other year. So this year was a family birthday.
