Bellevue State Park

Today our MOPS group headed to Bellevue for a family picnic day. As our group discussion leader (DGL), I always get a little nervous when planning these events as sometimes the weather is so unpredictable this time of year. I tease that it is hard to corelate women and weather. Today the event collided with a beautiful day. It was super sunny and many of our ladies were able to make it! We had a terrific time.
Ben loved drinking some lemonade from a cup. He looked so cute in his Elmo t-shirt (thanks Auntie Lauren) and baseball cap. Ben is so fair...with his bleach blond hair and baby blue eyes we are learning to be very cautious with him and the sun.
Paul and Irene's daughter taking a rest in the shade.
Natalie and Ben had a great time sitting with their friends on the blanket. They shared a cold treat as it was a HOT day. Delaware heated up this weekend as today it felt like SUMMER.
Mike grilling some burgers, hot dogs, brahts, and spicy sausage. Each of the families brought something to share and we had a great buffet!
Jake, and Andrew brought along their friend Reece and tested out their new fishing poles.
Navana and Ken and their girls...we are so happy Navana is joining our group!
Marsha and her crew. It was so great to meet all the husbands. We are hoping to do more events with the guys.
Jenn and Gianna
Madelin and Ben in the pack-n- play. Thanks for bringing this...great idea. Ben loved it. I have to laugh at this photo because Madelin HATED being in there, as she is a new walker and loves her freedom. In this shot she looks like she is thinking "BEN! What are you smiling about? We are trapped in here!" She is such a sweet girl!
Matt helped our boys string their poles and as always the Ousdahl's helped keep and eye on our crew.
We had such a fun day...as I write this Miss Natalie is upstairs sleeping; she had so much fun in the sun and is now pooped! Yet, I need to go wake her up so she sleeps tonight.
